01
Problem Statement
This platform was created in 2020 - In a world facing increased challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which had a severe impact on the mental health and well-being of people around the world while also raising concerns about increased suicidal behavior.
02
Solution
Providing a safe and supportive space for individuals to share their experiences, explore the experiences of others, express gratitude, and document their daily lives without fear of judgment. It aims to foster a sense of community and connection among users while promoting mental well-being and
self-awareness.
Of young people said loneliness made their mental health worse during the pandemic.
Individuals who regularly shared their thoughts and feelings in a supportive online community reported a 30% decrease in feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Individuals who engaged in daily journaling for six weeks reported a 25% decrease in symptoms of anxiety.
adults did not seek outer professional support during the pandemic because they didn’t think their problem was serious enough.
that's how much happiness levels can increase when people practice gratitude regularly.
The pandemic has accelerated mental health challenges, but referring to professionals decreased. People avoided reaching out, thinking their problems were insignificant. The goal was to foster a sense of unity and understanding among users and to create a supportive space where individuals navigating mental health struggles can find solace, and engage in activities scientifically proven to alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety, virtually.
To address this, three key areas were identified to create a seamless tool for the target audience:
Process your thoughts
Take a moment to express gratitude by jotting down three positive things that occurred during your day. This practice helps shift your focus towards the positive aspects of your life. Your entries are not stored, allowing you to freely express gratitude without any concerns.

CHALLENGES
01
Creating a Safe Environment
How can I establish a secure and welcoming space where users feel comfortable sharing their deepest thoughts and experiences, even those they wouldn't disclose to their closest friends or family?
02
Solution
Given the sensitive nature of the situation, the app is designed to be completely anonymous, ensuring that user information is not stored. This approach provides a safe space for reflection and self-awareness without concern of data misuse. Additionally, by removing any pressure to achieve perfection, it encourages users to freely document and journal their experiences.
02
Communicating the Value
How can I effectively convey the significance of this sharing process and highlight the benefits of each step to encourage user engagement
and participation?
02
Solution
I aimed to encourage users to share at least one post or browse the main feed, as I believed it could help them understand the benefits and find relief. I recognize that some users might be in a sensitive state and could be easily triggered or discouraged from using the app. To support them, I have included a brief and simple onboarding process, which can be easily accessed from the app itself as well, that allows them to access the app quickly, minimizing the risk of scaring them away. This approach encourages engagement and helps uplift users as they read about others' experiences, helping them realize they are not alone.
03
Preventing Harmful Behavior
How can I mitigate the risk of negative interactions and ensure the platform remains a supportive and constructive space, free from harmful comments or misuse?
02
Solution
I avoided open and free-form comments on shared posts. Instead, I incorporated structured comments and limited the selection of emojis to only supportive and uplifting reactions. This approach fosters a positive atmosphere and reduces the potential for harmful comments or misuse.

As I mentioned before, the app's visual vibe takes cues from McFly's "Young Dumb Thrills" album, channeling its youthful energy and playful spirit. The design showcases bright, bold colors and eye-catching elements, weaving in a nostalgic retro-pop flair with a contemporary twist. This fresh, dynamic aesthetic keeps the app lively and in tune with the music's feel-good groove.
